SharpPockets.com - "Quality Pocket Knives and more..." During the summer between 2nd and 3rd grades I went to Los Angeles to visit my Grandfather and Grandmother. During that visit I went to work with my Grandfather at his Woodshop. While sweeping and cleaning up the shop, my Grandfather asked me to bring him a couple of wood dowels that were back in the corner of the shop. I located the dowels but they were in a bundle securely fastened with heavy twine. "Grandfather I can not get the bundle loose the twine is to tight", I exclaimed. His answer was for me to cut the bundle loose. "Grandfather I do not have a knife to cut the twine loose", I answered. "No pocket knife! Everyone should carry a pocket knife". Then my Grandfather gave me my first pocket knife so I could get the job done.

Since that time the importance of having the right knife for the job has always continued in my life. When I was 10 years old my best friend and I decided we needed a Wenger Swiss Army Knife with all the tools. It was on display at the Hardware Store so we asked Mr. Fiddler the store owner to save us two knives that we would purchase as soon as we saved enough money. We saved for months and put all our savings in a cigar box until we had saved enough money to purchase our Swiss Army Knives. We were proud of ourselves and our new knives. We carved more sticks than I could count. Spent a lot of time together dreaming of what we would be and do when we grew up. Marines on the buddy system, then Astronauts, then we would retire, buy a new convertible Corvette and travel the country. Simpler times never did imagine I would be selling the same knife on my website at SharpPockets.com - "Quality Pocket Knives and more..."

When I was 18 my friends and I would head up to the Sierras from San Diego and go camping and backpacking. My knife of choice for those days was my Buck 110. My Buck knife would hold a good edge and was rugged enough to stand up to any task. This same Buck 110 went with me into the field when I was in the Army Infantry for 4 years. This knife never failed me. I still have that knife today more that 40 years later. Still sharp and in pretty good shape! Of course it makes sense that I would offer this same model Buck 110 on my website. SharpPockets.com - "Quality Pocket Knives and more..."
